Planning Your Session
- Permission has to be arranged first. ESL Ballpark is a working professional venue, not a public park. Before any session can be scheduled here, access has to be requested and approved by the Rochester Red Wings organization. We handle that outreach on your behalf — but it does mean this location can't be booked on short notice.
- Book well ahead of your date. Availability depends on the club's schedule, so plan around homestands, groundskeeping, and events rather than a specific evening.
- Evening light is worth the wait. Late-day sun rakes across the field and warms up the skyline behind it.
- Bring your gear. Bat, glove, cleats, helmet, jersey — the props here are the story, and cleats are usually required on the field surface anyway.
- Expect to stay off certain areas. The mound and the infield dirt are often protected. We work around it, and there's more than enough ballpark to shoot.
